Roof only or complete demolition?
Decide whether you want the asbestos-cement roof assessed for removal or the entire building taken down. Tell us whether the base should stay, and whether the garage touches a house, boundary wall or neighbouring building.
Details that change the scope
Approximate dimensions, wall construction, roof condition and the access route all help. Mention electricity or water connections, stored contents and any known structural movement. Service isolation and structural matters must be resolved before works.
After the roof comes off
Removing the covering leaves the garage exposed. Replacement roofing, temporary protection, gutters and repairs need an agreed plan. They are not automatically part of asbestos roof removal.
Useful photographs
Photos taken from ground level can show the roof edges, walls, interior and access route. Do not climb onto the roof or disturb sheets to help with an enquiry.
