Asbestos removal in Stourbridge & Lye

Asbestos removal, targeted sampling and waste collection for homes and businesses in Stourbridge and Lye. D&M’s business address is at Unit 5 Park Street, Lye.

A local starting point for your enquiry

Our published business contact address is Unit 5 Park Street, Lye, Stourbridge, DY9 8SS. We assess enquiries across Stourbridge and the surrounding Black Country. Send your property postcode and the work you have planned so we can confirm coverage, access and the right scope. Please arrange any visit to our address in advance; it is not a public asbestos waste drop-off point.

Sampling before work starts

If you are unsure about a ceiling coating, floor tile, adhesive or cement product, tell us which material concerns you and what you intend to do. We can discuss targeted sampling and laboratory analysis for specific materials. A result applies to the material sampled; it is not a full asbestos survey or proof that the whole property is asbestos-free. Refurbishment and demolition can require a different assessment, so mention those plans at the start.

Ceilings, floors and asbestos-cement products

We take enquiries for textured coatings, floor tiles and bitumen adhesive, suitable asbestos-cement products and other work within our scope. For ceilings, explain whether the backing is to be removed as well. For floors, include the rooms, approximate area, fixed units and the finish your next contractor needs. If the proposed work needs a licensed contractor or a different specialist, we will discuss the appropriate referral rather than assume it is within our scope.

Garage roof removal or the whole garage?

Let us know whether you want a garage roof removed, wall panels dealt with or the whole outbuilding taken down. Shared drives, a narrow side passage, an adjoining building or a boundary wall can affect the arrangements. Include approximate dimensions and ground-level photographs. State whether the base should stay. Replacement roofs, temporary weather protection, plastering and other reinstatement are separate unless expressly agreed in the quotation.

Waste collection from your property

For waste that is already awaiting collection, send photographs, an approximate quantity and details of where it is stored and how close a collection vehicle can get. Do not unwrap, move or break suspect material to prepare an enquiry. Our Environment Agency waste carrier registration is CBDU537492; you can check the registration and our insurance through the credentials page. Collection arrangements are confirmed for the individual job.

See the work and understand the handover

Our service pages show original before-and-after photographs from D&M projects across the region, including ceiling removal and complete garage removal with the base retained. These examples explain the type of work and finish to discuss for your own property. Your written quotation sets out your own scope and exclusions. Following our removal work, we provide the waste consignment note and D&M Certificate of Cleanliness (Non-Licensable Works). It is separate from independent four-stage clearance or an air-testing report.

Send what you know — “not sure” is fine

Start with your postcode, the material or building, what you want to achieve, and any existing test or survey report. Photographs should be taken from a safe position without disturbing material or climbing onto a roof. Tell us about occupants, parking or access restrictions and any dates for follow-on trades. We will review the details and discuss sampling, a visit or specialist referral where needed before confirming a quotation.

Let’s work out what you need.

A few details and photographs are a good place to start.
