Artex removal with the scope explained upfront

You will need reboarding and skimming afterwards
We do not offer coating-only scraping. Our removal includes the underlying plasterboard or other substrate within the agreed area. You will need a separate contractor for reboarding, skimming and decorating; D&M does not carry out these reinstatement works. We explain the removal boundaries before you accept the quote.

Does all Artex contain asbestos?
No. Appearance alone cannot confirm it. If you do not have a test result, we can discuss sampling before confirming the removal scope.
Can you just scrape off the texture?
No. We remove the textured coating together with its underlying substrate. Please allow for reboarding, skimming and decorating by a separate contractor afterwards.
Can you remove just one ceiling?
Yes, enquiries can cover a single ceiling, several rooms or coated walls. Tell us the approximate area and send photos so we can assess your job.
Do I have to move out?
That depends on the work area, access and controls required. Tell us whether the property is occupied; we will agree room preparation and access arrangements before booking.
When will I get a quote?
We aim to quote within one working day when the enquiry contains enough information. If we need testing, a visit or more details, we will explain what is needed.
