Sampling starts with your question
Tell us which materials concern you, where they are and what work you have planned. Different materials or areas can need separate samples. We will agree the sampling locations and explain the results when available.

Sampling is not a full asbestos survey
A targeted sample gives a result for the material sampled. It does not establish that the whole property is asbestos-free, cover hidden areas or replace a management or refurbishment/demolition survey. If you are planning intrusive building works, tell us before booking so the appropriate assessment can be arranged.
Useful information for your enquiry
Share the property postcode, approximate quantity or area, the condition and access. Photographs and existing laboratory or survey reports help us assess the enquiry. You can choose “Not sure” when you do not know a detail.
Please take photographs only from a safe position. Do not lift flooring, scrape a coating, open packaging or climb onto a roof for a quote.

How many samples do I need?
It depends on the number of different materials and areas. Tell us what you want checked; we will agree the sample count before the visit.
Can you identify asbestos from a photograph?
No. Appearance cannot reliably confirm asbestos content. Photos help us plan the visit; laboratory analysis is used to test a sample.
